About
Hi, my name is Mónica
My approach to photography is uniquely shaped by my own experience as a performer. For years, I have been a singer, and that background provides me with an intrinsic understanding of the performer's perspective. I know intimately how artists want and need to be seen, allowing me to capture them with the authenticity and respect they deserve.
I am drawn to natural light and the subtle drama of shadows. Rather than staging moments, I observe and wait for expression to unfold: a glance, a breath, a connection. My aim is to show people as they are.
My lens is drawn to artists where they feel most alive: in the intensity of rehearsal rooms, the electricity of the stage, or the quiet, focused moments in between.
My work focuses on capturing the honesty and intensity of a performer at work, revealing the delicate balance between concentration, vulnerability, and joy.
I strive to create photographs that do not just document a performance, but truly reveal the human behind the art.
